In the summer of 1945 an advertisement appeared in the local press asking for interested thespians to attend an inaugural meeting at Holy Trinity Church.  Fourteen people attended and the Orpington Rep was born.

We perform two main productions every year which we present at the Crofton Halls, Station Road next to Orpington Station and a summer show which we usually perform at the Chelsfield Village Hall.  Every two years we present our Christmas Pantomime at the Crofton Halls and such is our excellent reputation, we practically sell all of our 1500 tickets!

We rehearse most Monday and Wednesday evenings from 8 pm to 10 pm at the Chelsfield Methodist Church Hall in Windsor Drive.  Nearer to the dates of the production, we may have to call extra rehearsals.

We have a scenery bay and costume/props room close to the Crofton Halls which house all our flats, etc., essential to any production.

The Rep welcomes everybody of all ages, from 15 to 90 (or over!).
